Players should arrive at tryouts ready to play or in enough time to get laced up and ready to play so we can start on time.
All players must have proper shoes, flats, tennis shoes, molded cleats or turf shoes. No boots, or open toe shoes, etc…
All players must have shin guards on.
All players must have a ball with them. Please write your name on it so we can identify similar balls or balls left behind.
All players should bring water. I believe there’s a drinking fountain, but having a water bottle is more efficient.
No ear rings, nose rings, metal hair clips, dangerous bracelets, watches, necklaces, etc….
For any parents/players who are new to our distribution list, below is the try-out schedule with a few additional details:
Tuesday, February 5, 2013 — 1:30P to 4:30P
All players interested in trying out for the Varsity should report to PTC at 1:30P.
All players interested in trying out for the Junior Varsity should report to PTC at 2:30P.
This should allow us to conduct a smooth tryout session for both teams.
Wednesday, February 6, 2013 — 1:30P to 4:30P
All NEW players (i.e., those unable to attend the first day of try-outs) interested in trying out for the Varsity and those players asked to return should report to PTC at 1:30P.
All NEW players interested in trying out for the Junior Varsity and those players from day 1 asked to report for JV time-slot should report to PTC at 2:30P.
Thursday, February 7, 2012 — NO TRYOUTS – PTC IS NOT AVAILABLE DUE TO SCHEDULING CONFLICT WITH THE FACILITY.
Saturday, February 9, 2013 — Varsity Team will be announced via email.
Tuesday, February 12, 2013 — 6:30P @ Orchards Community Church — Varsity Parent/Team kickoff meeting. This will be our chance to lay out expectations, answer questions, cover housekeeping matters, introduce the coaching staff and board members, collect all paperwork and fees, and possibly distribute uniforms and warm ups.
Tuesday, February 19, 2013 — 2:00P to 4:00P — Varsity should report to PTC for informal practice

Further practice details will be communicated after try-outs, as weather and facility availability will impact our practice locations. Please refer to the team Google calendar for updates, maps, and other details throughout the season.
Tryouts for the Summit Men’s Varsity and Junior Varsity teams are being held Thursday and Friday, July 12th and 13th, from 5-7 p.m. at Orchards Soccer Field (Summit’s home field) behind Orchards Community Church at 74903 McKay Road, Bruce Township (Romeo), MI 48065. Anyone who missed tryouts but would still like to be considered for one of the men’s teams should contact LuAnne Mellis at 248-646-4962 to make special arrangements for an individual try-out before the game season begins.
Try-outs for both Summit Men’s Teams will be Monday and Tuesday, August 1 and 2, from 3pm to 5pm at our home field at Orchards Community Church. There is no cost for try-outs. Please bring a soccer ball, soccer cleats, shin guards, lots of water/drink, and two completed forms from the Summit website if you haven’t already turned them in at training camp – the registration form and the waiver form signed by a parent. The try-outs will be run by the Summit coaching staff for Fall 2011 which will include Varsity Head Coach Allen Hoxie, Varsity Assistant Coach Ed Roden, Junior Varsity Head Coach Luke Adams, and Junior Varsity Assistant Coach Matt Kauzlarich.
The 2011 Summit Men’s Pre-Season Training Camp for Junior Varsity & Varsity players will be Monday, July 25 through Friday, July 29 from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. at our home field, Orchards Community Church. Summit Women’s Junior Varsity will play in a JV Tournament at Lutheran North High School on April 16th, 2011. Their first game will be against the tournament host at 11am. At 1:30pm, depending on the result of that game, they will play either the winner or loser of a game between Garden City and West Bloomfield.
Admission to the Main Game Field (where Summit’s first game will be played) costs $3 for adults and $1 for students and senior citizens.
